Let’s not mess around here, it’s Friday so I’m throwing this track up just so you can get down. It’s been a while since I’ve posted a club-banging beat like this one, but the Bliss is upon us and in Chile it comes extra heavy. September means the beginning of the end (of the school year) as well as the celebratory month of Chile’s independence. In the USA we only take a day for the 4th, but in South America they know how to celebrate a good revolution. From the 1st to the 30th, Chile ignites its revolutionary spirit with colorful kites, potent chichas (a traditional wine), gluttonous asados (BBQs) and rythmic cuecas (traditional Chilean dances).

Trying to find that zone between another fine week’s end and the beginnings of a new one. It’s not an easy task, but I’m getting into the grading-papers-groove with a little help from The Weeknd (and Drake) via “The Zone”. As Monday rolls on, so does my listening of Thursday; as each track plays out, I think I can accurately paraphrase the album in a few words as serenely decadent, wonderfully innovative baby-makin’ music…

Due to the gracious passing of San Pedro & San Pablo, I have an extended weekend and, more importantly, a circumcised week.
