Uh oh, it’s time to get dirty. Kanye featuring Raekwon, Common, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Cyhi The Prynce, Kid Cudi, Dbanj in “The Morning”.
Genuis.
Lana Del Rey has been somewhat of a controversial figure in the music scene since her indie metamorphosis this past year. But I say: who gives a shit if she’s jumping on the indie-wagon? She is certainly not the only musician or only fan doing it, so who cares? Girls gotta eat, so let’s stop critiquing the person and start critiquing the music.
Instead of hating on Lana del Rey for those luscious new lips that purse through that gritty new sound, why don’t we take a note from Don Kanye, tip our hats to Lana, and have a toast for all the douchebags. Check out a more music-oriented review of the the female Rey and a free download of a nasty “Blue Jeans” track.
Ball so hard mothafuckas wanna find me
This song is too hot for the week daze, so that can mean only one thing: it’s time to head to France and to start your fucking weekend. Enjoy.
It’s almost 5 o-o down here in Santiago and I’m not gonna waste any more time inside. Time for the weekend, time to get up, time to touch the sky. Some old Xaphoon Jones never did anyone wrong…
My favorite portrait from artist Dale Edwin Murray’s Hip Hop Head Collection is none other than music mastermind, MF Doom. As Marina Galperina puts it on flavorwire,”[Murray] is re-interpreting his favorite MCs, boiling down each rapper’s physical likeness, style, and essence into a minimalist rendering”. Check out this and the rest of his portfolio here.
White Lotus’ “Suicidal Thoughts” is what could have been if Biggie Smalls had met a young Mr. West. This track brings B.I.G. back in a way that touches that hip-hop soft spot in any music fan’s soul. I thought the song offered a sentimental approach to the week…so “Let’s have a toast for the jerkoffs/That’ll never take work off/Let’s have a toast for the”…Mondays.
